Gregor Velkaverh

Mag. Gregor Velkaverh has been a partner at the Law Firm Starman/Velkaverh since 1992. He graduated from the Ljubljana Faculty of Law in 1976. During his studies he worked as a journalist for the newspaper company Delo in Ljubljana. After graduation he worked as a Judge trainee at the Koper Regional Court and in 1978 he successfully passed the National legal exam. Until 1992 he held different positions in the Slovenian judiciary. 

He was appointed as a court interpreter for the English language in 1977 and ten years later as a court interpreter for the Croatian language. He acquired the title of Master of Science in Maritime law at the Split Faculty of Law in 1986.

The lawyer mag. Gregor Velkaverh is the author of a schoolbook Tanker rules and regulations (2002) and co-author of the books Maritime law 1 and 2. For ten years he also worked as a lecturer and the Faculty for Maritime Studies and Transport of the University in Ljubljana.
