Legal aid

Legal aid is intended to facilitate the exercise of judicial protection of individual rights for persons who are otherwise unable to do so without harming their ability to maintain themselves and their family. Beneficiaries, who fulfil the financial and substantial conditions, can primarily use legal aid in judicial proceeding, exceptionally also for legal advice or out-of-court settlements.

Before the attorney may begin his work, it is necessary to acquire a decision of the authority granting legal aid and a reference file, both are issued by the court department competent for legal aid.
